Who is Tarantula Cribs?

You’ll see the name Tarantula Cribs throughout The Reptile Room STL because it’s where everything began. Tarantula Cribs is our parent company — the original business we launched back in 2020, when we started hand-building high-quality tarantula enclosures.

As the business grew, so did our passion for educating people about exotic animals. That growth eventually led us to our current location, where we expanded from custom enclosures into a full reptile retail shop, complete with top-tier husbandry supplies and our unique hands-on Wildlife Discovery Zone.

Tarantula Cribs remains a core part of who we are, and The Reptile Room STL is the next chapter — a larger space dedicated to education, animal care, and giving the St. Louis community a place to connect with wildlife.
